STIRLING COUNTY 49, HAWICK 6
Hawick travelled to windswept Bridgehaugh and produced thier worst display of the season. Prior to the match, Hawick were well above Stirling in the league on points but this counted for nothing on the day and Stirling ran in eight tries without reply to emerge worthy winners. Hawick had their moments but were unable to break through a sturdy Stirling defence which always held the upper hand. All Hawick could show for their efforts were two Craig Neish penalties. Most of the damage was done in the final twenty minutes when a tiring Hawick team let Stirling run in five of their tries.
Hawick must now pick themselves up and regroup for the visit of Heriots to Mansfield Park next Saturday.
