As in the last two matches
it was a case of so near but yet so far with another
narrow defeat. Yet again Hawick could have taken the
spoils and Dundee will be mighty relieved to come away
with the points.
Hawick scored first
through a penalty by Lee Armstrong but Dundee then went
on to score three first half tries. Keith Davies kept
Hawick in the match with a try just before the break
which Lee Armstrong converted.
After the interval Nick
Mactaggart narrowed the gap even further with a well
taken try. Dundee scored another converted try which
took the score to 26-15. Keith Davies crossed for his
second try of the afternoon with Armstrong again
converting to set up a tense final few minutes with the
score at 26-22 but sadly Hawick could not find the vital
match winning score.
